Lego Themed Birthday Party

It has been quite a while since I have shared anything on my blog. I have been busy sewing, creating, mothering...the usual.

My son turned 5-years-old several months ago and I'm just getting around to blogging about some of the things I made for his Lego party. It was a pretty spectacular party. Mostly because he spent months building his Lego sets in preparation for this party. He was so excited to put all of his creations on display for his friends and family to admire.

One of several Lego displays

The birthday boy bouncing out some energy. His shirt reads, "Forget the cake, just give me LEGOS!"

Birthday banner: I downloaded the free LegoThick font and printed out the letters on colored card stock. Then I hand-cut them out and glued them onto double matted card stock.

Party Favor Bags

Lego Man Poop, a.k.a. M&M's

Sister's shirt reads, "When's my DUPLO party?" Cousin's shirt reads, "CAUTION: I eat LEGOS!"

Aunt's shirt reads, "Aunt - n. Certified LEGO Spoiler." And a big THANK YOU to her for making all the shirts!

Contents of the party favor bag: Lego shirt (using vinyl and heat press), small Lego set and Lego man poop

Cupcake display

Duplo building station, to keep the little ones busy while the older kids played party games.

One of the party games: Lego Memory. The kids had 5 minutes to look at the 25 objects and then had to work with an adult to write down as many things as they could remember.

Dad's shirt reads, "There is no such thing as having too many Legos!"
Mom's shirt reads, "We have too many Legos!"
Such a great day.

Clean up and deconstruction of all the Lego sets was no fun, though. No fun at all.
